Mother Nature

The Earth, a flat surface where people walk around hoping they don’t fall over the edge…or a Globe where people walk around in circles hoping to start where they began…whatever school of thought you come from we all call this beautiful planet of ours Mother.

She is here for our protection and as good children it is our duty to look after her too right, everyday should be Earth Day but ok seeing that someone allocated a special date for it lets start there.

Today is Earth Day. There are so many environmental issues going on it is actually scary how we are destroying this beautiful planet, the very place we want our children to grow up and enjoy themselves on.

It is all not doom and gloom though, there are various organisations who take initiative and allow for everyone to get involved in helping clean up the mess we started. One such organisation is Clean C helping to keep our beaches clean. I love the ocean and I’d like to enjoy myself as much as possible without the risk of stepping on a broken glass bottle but more seriously the plastic waste that float around are dangerous to our marine life too.

Today many people came out to help clean our beach as well as enjoy a bit of beach football, the kids enjoyed this part and I think it is cool that they combined sport with a bit of education.

The beach clean up happens every Saturday morning, it is a good social activity for Youth Groups, Friends, Parents, bring your pets if you want but clean up after them too and get active. If we all work together we can make a difference.

Lets preserve this beautiful Earth for our Children to enjoy for many more years to come.
