For the 19th year now The Cape Town International Jazz Festival entertains the lovers of good vibey music in our beautiful city, with that comes a special free concert just to prepare us for what’s to be expected this coming weekend…
..Yip yip it is that time again, and with it being Human Rights Day today I think we are Free to be leka.
The concert features some of the talented artists who will be performing at the festival over the weekend, it gives us the opportunity to see of our amazing local musicians together with the international acts.
An afternoon of top class entertainment, today was something special though because love was definitely in the air. People were dancing, smiling and enjoying the good music. The Soil were my favourite, they really moved me and hit my soul with their voices. They brought us so much JOY.
I think the headlines in the newspapers today will be the moment when Claire Phillips proposed on stage, she showed us that love is LOVE and we are free to express it to whomever we want. Congratulations, a memorable moment indeed.
Capetonians hou van party and we stay till the music stops, don’t let the musicians play some Bob Marley then you know we all on the One Love Vibe. The mense dancing with their Darling Brew jumping around like a Rogue Pony, ek sè wee is mos free to be leka.
Alistair Izobell ended off a fantastic evening with some old school hits, we even got a little bit of drizzle in Cape Town…..we need the rain so it is welcome. We don’t care, come Let in Rain on our Parade.
