Nothing is impossible..

Our fifth day in India, this would turn out to be a day full of emotion – adrenaline, tears,  joy, gladness and humility. We were all bound together by the fact that Nothing is Impossible….Everything is Possible with God.

BIND US TOGETHER, Lord, Bind us together
With cords that cannot be broken.
Bind us together, Lord,
Bind us together,
Bind us together with love.
There is only one God,
There is only one King;
There is only one Body,
That is why we sing:

Refrain
Made for the glory of God,
Purchased by His precious Son;
Born with the right to be clean,
For Jesus the victory has won.

Refrain
You are the family of God,
You are the promise divine;
You are God’s chosen desire,
You are the glorious new wine.

The day started off by meeting the Local Bishop a really busy man in the Church of South India, something new and unexpected I found out was that the Bishop is the only one who can perform a confirmation. We also discussed challenges facing the Youth and how  the church are addressing these issues.

We then went to Arpana (School for the specially abled children)…hear we got to interact with these beautiful children who were so happy to see us and share music and dancing. They demonstrated their hand crafting skills but the real highlight was when we danced and sang making their day through movement. Being able to share a pray with these specially abled children who can teach us so much about ourselves and how fortunate we all are….these are the moments which will last in our hearts forever.

After lunch we walked around a local school, playing some football on the field…a funny moment was when we got back on the bus and the kids wanting some of our autographs thinking we celebrities…..hmmm Shauno Khan really suits me doesn’t it.

Our next stop was Makkala Ashraya Kendra (Home for street Children)….this was where the flood gates opened as tears flowed, not tears of sadness but of hope that seeing these children all happy and being able to be together in a safe environment where they are given an opportunity at a real future….Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE.

We enjoyed a well choreographed dance performance by the boys, so exciting that we had to join in and dance too.

Our last stop was an Interaction with the Youth Ministry of KCD……I got to drive a scooter in India for the first time. (yip my first time on a motorcycle and in India…..if you have ever seen the streets of India you’d know I was shaking with fear I am sure the Reverend was praying for our lives…..again NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.)

The interaction with the youth was inspiring as we met a woman Reverend who through her work in the church motivates young people to be active. I learnt a few new games and songs I’d take back home with me to teach our local youth.

After today with all the memories shared our group became so much closer and through Gods grace we realized…..NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.

Up, up, and away we go
Into the great beyond
Wherever we go and whatever we do
We’re trusting God along
We will fly
We will soar
Nothing is impossible
“Everything is possible with God” —

Through the storm
Trusting God and leaving our fears behind
We will fly
Up, up and away we go
Into the great beyond
Wherever we go and whatever we do
Trusting God all along

We will fly
We will soar
Nothing is impossible
We will rise
Through the storm
Trusting God and leaving our fears behind

We will fly
Anything is possible
Everything is possible with God
Anything is possible
Everything is possible with God
Anything is possible
Everything is possible with God
Anything is possible
Everything is possible with God
We will fly
We will soar
Nothing is impossible

We will rise
Through the storm
Trusting God and leaving our fears behind
We will fly
We will fly
We will fly
