As summer draws to a close and the weather starts to get cooler, now would be a good time to grab some friends together and help keep our beaches clean. We don’t use them only in summer but all year round and it is no fun going to a dirty beach.
Every 1st Saturday of the Month volunteers get together across our coastline picking up litter that has the potential of killing the wildlife in our ocean. The Keen Movement NPO joined this initiative yesterday and they showed that giving a helping hand does not always have to be a serious occasion.
Bags and gloves are provided, all you have to do is give an hour and a half of your morning, the benefits are enormous for yourself and the community at large. We all are free to use the beach – keeping it clean should be a natural thing to do.
Who know’s what you’ll find…..
It may seem like fun and games but the sight of our beaches in this state is actually disgusting therefore we encourage more people to get involved, if we all put our hands together it means lighter work and more time to enjoy our beautiful city.
