“O Captain! My Captain!”

From the boy who never grew old to a boy who grew up to fast, a Nanny and a Robot….Robin Wliiams has played a variety of characters and these will help keep his legacy alive, it was shocking to hear the funny man passed away after apparently hanging himself, he also suffered from severe depression.

“But only in their dreams can men truly be free. It was always thus and always thus will be” – Robin Williams

May he rest in peace and may he be free from suffering.

Robin Williams made boardgames exciting in the movie Jumanji except for Monopoly ofcourse, he also showed us that Robots can have a heart, speaking of hearts he gave a touching performance in Patch Adams reminding us that laughter is the best medicine.

“You’re only given a little spark of madness. You mustn’t lose it.” – Robin Williams

True words, never be afraid to let your madness take over, this was probably his advice as a psycologist in Good Will Hunting in which he won an Oscar for best supporting Actor.

“No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world.” – Robin Williams

Another inspiring role was in Dead Poet Society where he made poetry interesting and the line – “Carpe diem Seize
the day, boys. Make your lives
extraordinary.” became famous.

From Teddy Rooseveldt to a voice in Happy Feet and a blue Genie who pops out of Alladin’s magic lamp, my wish is that he is Happy in his Whole New World.
